Mr.K.Soundappa Chettiyar founded "Vinayaga Silks" to trade silk garments during 1950s at Salem. As the time went by, it became an eminent manufacturer of silks when his son, Mr.S.Sithuraj learnt the technique of silk manufacture from his father and started his own silk manufacturing company named "Dhamodharan Silks and Prabhu Textiles". ABOUT DHAMODHARAN SILKS & PRABHU TEXTILES Realising the exclusivity of silk in the industry, we established our own silk saree manufacturing unit which runs as follows-the harvested silk cocoons are imported, extracted as a silk yarn, twisted, warped and dyed to be finally made into silk sarees using either handlooms/automatic power looms. The authentic silk sarees are later traded around the world and also supplied to shops on a wholesale basis.
